OK, I made a klutzy hack and it works. But there ought to be an easier way!!! For future reference, you can't directly put the connection ids into an array ('scalar values') so you have to generate them yourself ahead of time and then pass the resulting array back to the init function. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steph" <Steph.Fox@btinternet.com> To: "PHP-GTK gen" <php-gtk-general@lists.php.net> Sent: Thursday, March 21, 2002 10:32 PM Subject: [PHP-GTK] Basic coding question (probably) I'm connecting multiple signals to a button on the fly during a loop within a function, which is probably all wrong in the first place but appears unavoidable. On the second pass the button regurgitates all the connections it made the first time through, as well as the new set. And the third, ad infinitum ad nauseum. Short of destroying and creating a fresh button (very ugly), I'm currently stuck with disconnecting everything with a lower value than the current handler id - woo, loads of pretty err msgs. Does anyone know of a way I can collect the used handler ids ready to disconnect them at the beginning of the next pass? Or better, a way to identify used handler ids belonging to an object?
