Last October I sent an email to the php-gtk list about a Windows installer using Inno Setup (available from http://www.innosetup.com/). It didn't seem to go anywhere but now that it has come up again I thought I would update it to php-gtk-0.5.0 and try again. I have put a setup.exe generated by the install script at http://203.2.75.30/~abraund/php-gtk-setup.exe if you want to try it out. The source is at the bottom of this message. (I extracted php-gtk-0.5.0-win32.zip to c:\php4gtk and that is where the installer expects to find the files). I would be very interested in any comparison between this Inno Setup package and one created with NSIS. I think it would be very good to have a simple installer for windows so people could try out php-gtk very easily, then when they discover what it can do I am sure they will be happy to invest some time in learning about it. I think it would be great to reduce the initial "try it out" difficulty.
