Thank you for the hint, but my machine is using Linux. I was able to specify a ISO-8859-7 forn and then $widget->set_style($newstyle); (As per reference manual on GtkStyle) (I also tried to change the font for widget class from the rc file, but I was unable to get that to work. Nothing changed. But that is another story). That worked great from the GtkCLists ! Now the GtkEntry widget was somewhat more fidgety. Using the the same method as above, the font change worked but it also has an style change for the editable text area. :( It seems to me to be a undocumented "feature" of the style copy when applied to GtkEntry. Just a simple style copy, with no style changes produces the same style change. Dias Frank M. Kromann wrote:

How php-gtk display another language set. I'm particulary interested in ISO-8859-7, but any other will do. The concept is the same. Many thanks in advance - much appreciated. Dias -- PHP-GTK General Mailing List (http://gtk.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
