Clist selection

Env: PHP-Gtk 1.0, Windows various.
I have a set of users who are used to a DOS app, and want to know if they
can have similar behavior in their search lists.
In other words, they want to have the first item in any CList selected and
then have that selection move down as they move their arrow, leaving the
last item they land on be the selected one.
Does anybody know of a way to accomplish this?
