I thought I'd already sent this, but seems I hit the wrong button.. $button->connect('clicked', 'callback', $parameter) would connect like this: function callback($button, $parameter) { /* blah */ } $button->connect_object('clicked', 'callback', $parameter) would connect like this: function callback($parameter) { /* blah */ } So, for example, if you want to click a button and have an object other than the button respond, you'd use connect_object() to pass that other object as a parameter. This is particularly useful when you want to call the same function with the same parameter from a number of different places in your application.
