GtkScintilla's way more sophisticated than you need for this. It's a
full-on editor.
http://gtk.php.net/manual/en/scn.gtkscintilla.php
- just look through that
function list..
However GtkText is b0rked on win32, as you'll be able to see for yourself.

The win32 version is effectively a port of PHP-GTK - there's nothing on
win32 that you can't do on *nix, it's more likely you'd see problems the
other way around (i.e. developing on *nix and then distributing on doze).

again, see manual. I realise it's not hugely helpful, but it does at least
tell you (most of) the functions that are available, and there's even a
useful usernote there from The Other Ben regards wrapping.
(I really need to set line length and have the text scroll down

Tried google? GtkScintilla is a project in its own right, and so is
Scintilla itself - I find it difficult to believe we're the only team with
even a partial function list!
