Hi everyone. I'm considering writing a desktop application (php-gtk win32), requiring some kind of data storage, ie a database. This would be a distributed application. Do any of you have any tips/experience on what storage method to use? Currently, I'm looking into sqlite. Since the app would be distributed, I'm not interested having the end user to install a db engine. Andreas SagenIf I remember correctly, that's bundled with PHP 5, which would require PHP-GTK version 2. Is it ready for prime time? Don't know -- I just finished a wee app using v. 1.x because I was told 2 was not ready, and the app was critical for the client. On the other hand, you could use one of the windows installer packages to sequentially install MySQL 4., PHP/Glade/, copy some install scripts and then launch a setup.
