From what I understand, and, I am far from a Mac user, is that the the most recent versions of both PHP and GTK have been worked on to compile on Mac, and GTK so to build against it natively without Xorg. However. I know crap about it.Yep. The best way to get PHP-GTK to work without X is to use Macports. After you've installed it; install cairo with quartz support, followed by Gtk+ $ sudo port install cairo +quartz +atsui +no_x11 $ sudo port install gtk2 +cairo Then compile PHP-GTK as usual. On the other hand, if you want PHP-GTK to work with X, you can just do: $ sudo port install php-gtk I'll be updating the php-gtk port in Macports to have both X11 and non-X11 variants when the final release is made.
