It means that you have to keep the version of php you use for PHP-GTK separate from the version of php you use for web design. PHP-GTK uses a development version of php which has not been released as yet, although hopefully it will be soon (it's got as far as test releases). I'm not very good technically so can't help you much, but I do know fsockopen() and popen() both work fine because Josh Seward used them to send commands to an external application (see list archives). Je veux comprendre votre application No problem, for the moment it's a project asked by my boss, i'm just learning about "realism" of it.... The goal is to do a server application on a homemade server (because we are using a private protocol on TCP layer), this application must catch a TCP port and reply an answer. The choice of PHP-GTK has made in consideration of potential of our developpers knowledges, and the power of PHP functionnality... in hope that PHP-GTK permit it. On the client side, it can be a C, C++, or .... PHP-GTK application to understand the server reply, and make something with it .... We want to use it for special applications with vocal server.
