James,
I finally got it to work last night with Cygwin.
For some reason the failure was happening when configure ran config.status.
It looked like config.status was getting created OK, so I ran "config.status --recheck" and it looked like all the makefiles, etc were generated properly. I was then able to compile the html version, and the phpweb version ( did not try the text version ) However, when I try to open any of the php files, I get an error about not having shared-manual.inc. I have attached the config.log file generated for grins and giggles. Perhaps I am missing an environment variable that you have set on your machine. I did have to make sure that the following were in /bin php.exe php4ts.dll libxslt.dll libxml2.dll xsltproc.exe At 01:23 PM 8/18/2001 +0100, James Moore wrote:configure: creating ./config.status config.status: creating \ .infig.status: error: cannot find input file: \
I couldnt get to the bottom of the configure problem Paul(?) washappening, paul please makesure you have m4 etc installed with cygwin, mine worksfine, I couldn't build with cygwin either BUT then I have a B20 release, it failed on autoconf, he he he! Anyway one has to be a masochist to work on cygwin when you can work on the real thing ;-) BTW is there any real reasons that all paths are absolute rather than relative. Yeah cause we use the same header file for all scripts in the site and its easier to have absolute paths.. I had to convert all occurences of /manual or /gifs to ../manual ../gifs and so on to make it work in a sub directory on my server - James -- PHP GTK Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-gtk-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-gtk-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
