Hello Kind Folks,
Enthused by my initial successes with php-gtk I am embarking on an
ambitious (at least for me) project
A Web Aware appointments scheduler.- basically a calendar app which can be
used to set appointments BUT more importantly have the ability to sync it
with its web counter part.

I don't want to use MySQL on the desktop (too bulky and an overkill) what
do the gurus of C suggest for local data storage - flat files? some
smaller app, don't want to use anything propritary or too huge
How do I best organise the text files? XML?
All ideas welcome
