after a make install, I got the following error: /opt/apache/bin/apxs -i -a -n php4 libs/libphp4.sl apxs:Error: file libs/libphp4.sl is not a DSO *** Error exit code 1 Stop. *** Error exit code 1 Stop. # It seems that apxs wants the shared library to be named libphp4.so, not libphp4.sl. So I did the following: # cp libs/libphp4.sl libs/libphp4.so # /opt/apache/bin/apxs -i -a -n php4 libs/libphp4.so This fix is documented under Bug id #7643 on the php site. Presto! Everything looks good now, so I copied php.ini-dist to /usr/local/lib/php.ini When I started apache, I got about 20 lines of the following: /usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol:mysql_***_***(code) from /opt/apache/lib/modules/libphp4.so The only way to get apache working is to comment out the apache mod from httpd.conf. Can anyone give me some insight on the above problem? Thanks in advance. -- Regards, Tony Galan Hewlett Packard
