Well, I've posted this a couple times on various lists, but I
wanted to try once more here before giving up...
I'm using PHP 4.0 (various patch levels, even the cvs) with
Netscape Enterprise Server 3.6 sp3 via NSAPI. OS is Solaris
2.6, compiler is gcc 2.95.2. MySQL is also in the mix, version
3.22.32.
An index file of index.html via something like
http://server/test2/ (which is not parsed by PHP) is
served up fine. If I do the same with an index.php (parsed
by PHP, I get looks to be a directory listing with a bunch of
garbage characters thrown in. It doesn't seem to matter if
there is actual code to be parsed or not.
Hitting a PHP parsed file explicitly (http://server/test/index.php)
works fine.
Nothing is reported in the error log and the access log looks
fine.
I'm at a loss.
