php and rpm and mcrypt

Hi all
well, i'm writing here because i've tried ( unsuccessfully ) to build an rpm
with php4, using the included makerpm script.
everithing seems correct, but..
the need to rebuild the rpm is because the std redhat rpm has no mcrypt
compiled in, and i need it.
the question, now, is : knows anybody where to find the mcrypt-compiled rpm
, or can someone help me to rebuild the rpm ?
i'm starting from 4.0.3 php version , both from source rpm and tarball
verision ( the make fail happens in both )
