So I installed the latest libtools and that latest version of gcc (3.2.2) and I STILL see this error?

Did you make sure that the GNU sed (or /usr/xpg4/bin/sed) is in your PATH _before_ your old, broken sed? Does "which sed" or "type sed" find the right one? Regards... Michael
