I am attempting to compile PHP-4.0.3pl1 dynamically into Apache-1.3.14, however the "make" stage of compiling PHP fails. I'm on Mandrake Linux 7.0. Here is what I am doing: cd /usr/src tar zxvf apache_1.3.14.tar.gz tar zxvf php-4.0.3pl1 cd apache_1.3.14 ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-module=so make && make install cd ../php-4.0.3pl1 ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs All of this goes fine until this step: make Eventually (after several minutes), it fails with the following message: time.c: In function `php_if_getrusage': microtime.c:97: storage size of `usg' isn't known microtime.c:100: `RUSAGE_SELF' undeclared (first use in this function) microtime.c:100: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once microtime.c:100: for each function it appears in.) microtime.c:106: `RUSAGE_CHILDREN' undeclared (first use in this function) make[3]: *** [microtime.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.3pl1/ext/standard' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.3pl1/ext/standard' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.3pl1/ext' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 [root@localhost php-4.0.3pl1]# Can anybody suggest what is going wrong? I have also messed about with PHP statically compiled into Apache, but that didn't work either. :( Many thanks, -- Chris Howells E-Mail: chrish@gmx.co.uk ICQ: 93699029 Web: http://www.chowells.uklinux.net
