I have a php.ini issues with a php4.3, Solaris 8, Apache 1.3.27 machine.
as well as a php4.3, RedHat 8, Apache 1.3.27
I have changed the php.ini file that phpinfo is pointing to, and restarted
apache(sometimes stop, wait, and start) and i never see the changes take
place in phpinfo.
The settings i am specifically trying to change are
register_globals = On; (i'm on an internal network with these boxes, so
i'd like to set to On to minimize upgrade hassles with older lazy coding).
session.bug_compat_42 = 0
session.bug_compat_warn = 0
furthermore i have completey removed and renamed php.ini from that
directory. stopped and started apache and phpinfo still displays the same
information, even when a valid php.ini does not exist. does PHP have an
internal cache with all of this info stored in it?? if so how can i clear
it to get the changes.
Is there another way to force these changes to take place. I have found
some old threads about this in the archives and their issue seemed to be
resolved by killing the main apache pid and starting apache. I have also
tried this with no success.
Thanks for any assistance you may have.
