Have you tried going to: Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs You may be able to do an uninstall from there. > > Also, there are many free servers that support PHP that run on Win9x > > machines, are free and are simple to install. Well, you don't absolutely have to - you could run PHP from the command shell - however, any scripts that you ran would just output HTML. You would then have to save that and then open it in a web browser. Running a web server is a lot more convenient in the long run. You don't need any special hardware or connection to run a server for testing purposes. I would recommend that you download Apache for windows (http://httpd.apache.org/dist/binaries/win32/apache_1_3_14_win32_r2.exe), install it - make sure to carefully read their installation and setup instructions. Then try installing PHP again. Make sure to read all of the documentation carefully and you should be fine. There are some extra docs on installing PHP with Apache at http://www.mm4.de/php4win/print-article.php3?id=4&language=en Good Luck! Zak PS.
