PHP4 Apache 2, and mcrpyt and mhash modules?

I have the new RedHat 9 which uses Apache 2. The RPM for PHP4 does not have mhash and mcrypt. First, are there mhash.so and mcrypt.so modules that can be loaded dynamically? This would be the best! Short of that does anyone know how to compile PHP for Apache 2, I have had problems so far. I have all the mhash and mcrypt parts.
