I am using redhat 7.3
i have all the mysql rpm insalled.
#cat /etc/ld.so.conf
/usr/kerberos/lib
/usr/lib/mysql/
/usr/lib/X11
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11
./configure --with-mysql=/usr
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

[root@newton php-4.2.3]# ls /usr/lib/mysql/
