Hi, microtime.c: In function `php_if_getrusage': microtime.c:94: storage size of `usg' isn't known microtime.c:97: `RUSAGE_SELF' undeclared (first use in this function) microtime.c:97: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once microtime.c:97: for each function it appears in.) microtime.c:103: `RUSAGE_CHILDREN' undeclared (first use in this function) make[3]: *** [microtime.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/master/php-4.0.1/ext/standard' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/master/php-4.0.1/ext/standard' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/master/php-4.0.1/ext' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 The faq states that this error means your system is broken, that is not neccessarily the case. I ran the test given there and received no errors... In some cases php is not finding resource.h during the configure. Using the following workaround allows php to compile. export CFLAGS="-O2 -DHAVE_SYS_RESOURCE_H" ./configure --your-php-settings make I expect that the reason php is not finding the resource.h is due to my of the 2.4.0-test series of kernels... unfrortunately I don't have time to investigate further. Could someone pass this on to the documentation team? I'm not on the list, so if you want me to get your replies please CC: the message to me. Thanks, Patrick
