Howdy,
I am trying to get PHP 4.3.1 to compile on a Redhat 9.0 box with MySQL
4.0 and Apache 1.3.27. I actually tried following the basic UNI* install
instructions at php.net which means I haven't got Apache compiled yet,
but I've compiled Apache a few times and it never has a problem. So
anyway here is my configure line:
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.27
--enable-track-vars
(This works just fine, not adding to much, just want the dam thing to
compile!)
And this is the crap I get when I do a 'make':
-lnsl -lcrypt -o sapi/cli/php
ext/mysql/php_mysql.o(.text+0x1b57): In function `zif_mysql_create_db':
/root/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/php_mysql.c:1118: undefined reference to
`mysql_create_db'
ext/mysql/php_mysql.o(.text+0x1cd7): In function `zif_mysql_drop_db':
/root/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/php_mysql.c:1160: undefined reference to
`mysql_drop_db'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [sapi/cli/php] Error 1
Once I start hitting stuff like this It gets out of my league real fast!
:P
I know someone's going to say RPM so let me just add that I don't want
an RPM, I want to configure it to my specs.
Any leads would be gladly appreciated.
