PHP 4.3.1 as static module under apache httpd 2.0.45

Hi all
I have installed the source dist. of apache 2.0.45 and php 4.3.1.
Both are located under usr/local/src
as followed in the INSTALL from php dist. catlog, after configure the php
with thae parameter "--with-mysql --with-apache2=../httpd-2.0.45", and make
install it, there is nothing under the src lib under the apache dist. lib as
the install text says.
Another problem is, that when I try to configure apache with php
"./configure --prefix=(path) --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a" I
get an error that says that parameter --activate-module is not a valid
parameter.
What to do??? Please help...
