# configure --help | grep mysql
--with-mysql[=DIR] Include MySQL support. DIR is the MySQL base directory.
--with-mysql-sock[=DIR] MySQL: Location of the MySQL unix socket pointer.
And another part of "configure --help" says:
Features and packages:
--disable-FEATURE do not include FEATURE (same as --enable-FEATURE=no)
--enable-FEATURE[=ARG] include FEATURE [ARG=yes]
--with-PACKAGE[=ARG] use PACKAGE [ARG=yes]
--without-PACKAGE do not use PACKAGE (same as --with-PACKAGE=no)
So try --without-mysql.
