I'm trying to install a BB program (phpBB). The installation consists of
extracting the file in the right place and then going to the website. I did
this before with no problems, but PostgreSQL and MySQL weren't installed
correctly. I fixed this by reinstalling pgsql and php according to the
tutorial on php.net. The installation went fine, but I can't get Apache to
parse the scripts correctly. I finally got the index.php script to load and
redirect me to the installation script in a different folder, but the
install.php won't parse. The source code merely spits out again at me.
Would an installation --without-mysql be the cause of this problem? Also,
what can I do to check if PHP is properly installed and ultimately fix this
problem?
