Reading posts in some other lists there seems to be a workaround by linking with libnsl (-lnsl). Try to export LDFLAGS="-lnsl" prior to configuring and compiling php or you might have to modify the Makefile after configuring php. Try to execute nm on the shared libraries in the system library directories to see if there is any shared library that provides inet_aton.
