i came across the same problem... some one from this mailing list advised me this is the sed from Solaris can't handle the new PHP source build.. You can download and install gnu sed to resolve this problem.. good luck! Thomas Sinka wrote:

Hi, this seems to be a limitation of the native sed tool. Reading some posts you might solve the problem by upgrading to the latest libtool (>= 1.4.3). Install libtool, rerun aclocal in the php source directory an copy ltmain.sh over from the PREFIX/share/libtool directory.
