Need help. My pages shows tons of errors

Am running Apache 2.0.45 and php (v 4.3.1) as a module on a win 2k-laptop.
This is what I've done:
In httpd.conf: added the following lines
LoadModule php4_module "d:/php/sapi/php4apache2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
I copied php4ts.dll to the same catalog as php4apache2.dll (php/sapi). I
even copied both files to the system32 katalog.
Copied php.ini to c:\winnt after editing the doc_root line and the
extension_dir line.
On everyone of my pages I get tons of errors telling me I'm using undefined
variables or undefined constants.
It should not be nesessary to declare a variable, and the 'constant'
$_SERVER[PHP_SELF].....
I'm confused, and even more since this works fine on another computer with
the same program versions but with win xp
