Hi everyone :)
I just found out that the host that my partner is a reseller for won't
support domxml / xslt on their server because of
security concerns, and I quote:
"Hi Anthony:
Sorry, we can't do that ... security concerns. Please try to find away
around this.
Best,
John"
I read that and I says to myself, wtf??? You mean I stayed up until 4:30
last night polishing xsl for cms and because of some 'security concern' I
have to re-write the entire engine of my site in a more antiquated
methodology, because jerkoff doesn't know how to install the library?
So this is my situation. Is there anyone out there that can tell me what in
name of gaia is the security threat posed by this? And if so, just how do I
PATCH it?
the phpinfo() on my devserver shows the following (tables), which are
missing from the phpinfo() on the reseller's server in question:
xslt
XSLT support enabled
domxml
DOM/XML enabled
libxml Version 2.4.26
HTML Support enabled
XPath Support enabled
XPointer Support enabled
Gracias, and sorry for the rant :)
