Hi!
unfortunately I just found out that every http query on a php file results in a
zombie process like this:
web10100 15582 0.3 0.0 0 0 ? Z 15:09 0:00 [php <defunct>]
I just upgraded to PHP 4.3.3, but it seems not to be a specific problem due to
the version. Downgrade results the same... ;-(
Of course there are a lot of zombie processes after a while and I'm not so
happy with them.
Some information about my system: I run Apache 1.3.28 with suPHP 0.3 to be able
to run PHP as a CGI version under each virtual host's user. I compiled Apache
with option "LIBS=-lpthread" and PHP with "--enable-sigchild" because I read
about it while searching with google.
Every website works fine - up to the zombie processes... *grr*
I run nearly the same system components on another server and I have no
problems on it.
So please can anybody help me to solve this problem? Thanks.
Regards from Munich,
Julian
