Hello everyone!
I am having problems getting started and wondered if anybody can help. I installed php from easyphp.com or whatever it is called - it was a complete package thing that gave me apach and mysql as well. After i installed i opened dreamweaver to try a few of the starter scripts. When itried to preview in the browser nothing showed on the screen. I then went back to look at the code - it had turned red and <?php echo "<p>Hello World</p>"; ?> had become <? echo "<p>Hello World</p>"; ?> . When i tried to preview it again a message popped up saying "to preview pages containing server-side code, you need a testing server. Would you like to specify one now?" What does all this mean. As you can probably tell, i am a real novice at this stuff. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
