Undefined PHP SNMP functions

OS: Redhat 7 PHP version: 4.0.2 SNMP: provided by ucd-davis.edu site Apache version: 1.3.2 I previously has installed the precompiled snmp rpm that comes with the RedHat distro. But I had to reconfigure my php with the --with-snmp option so I installed the php 4.0.2 version. It installed with no errors and using the php_info() function I've verified that the module for snmp is present. I can execute the snmp commands from the command line, but when calling any of the PHP functions (i.e. snmpwalk, snmpget) syntax below. I get an error saying that the function isn't defined?? I've verifyed that the snmp.so was added to my php.ini file as so(i.e. extension=snmp.so & extension=libsnmp.so). My overall goal is to access/retrieve SNMP information from a remote system. example: $snmp=snmpget("localhost", "public", "system"); Thanks in advance, Otis Henry
