Hello All, I am running into a problem with the compilation of PHP 4.0.3pl1 integrated with GD 1.8.3 on RedHat 6.1. I also have Jpeg-6b, Zlib 1.1.3 and libpng 1.0.8 installed. For whatever reason, when I configure with: --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/jpeg-6b/ --with-gd=/usr/local/ --with-zlib=/usr/l ocal/lib/ --with-apache=/usr/local/apache_1.3.9/ --with-mysql=/usr/local/mys ql/ --enable-track-vars For some reason, when I run a script that has ImageCreateFromJpeg, it tells me that there is: "No JPG support in this PHP build..." When I recompiled, I noticed a couple of lines that say: checking for gdImageColorResolve in -lgd... yes checking for gdImageCreateFromPng in -lgd... yes checking for gdImageCreateFromGif in -lgd... no checking for gdImageCreateFromXbm in -lgd... yes checking for gdImageWBMP in -lgd... yes checking for libjpeg (needed by gd-1.8+)... yes checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... yes checking for gdImageCreateFromJpeg in -lgd... no checking for libXpm (needed by gd-1.8+)... no configure: warning: If configure fails try --with-xpm-dir=<DIR> checking for gdImageCreateFromXpm in -lgd... yes Am I trying to do something I shouldn't be able to do (I noticed there are some issues with gifs)? Am I missing something? Any help is very much appreciated. Thankyou, Bryan Kahlig bkahlig@databasecity.com
