So you need: libjpeg-devel libpng-devel libtiff-devel (if you want tiff support) If I remember correctly, you also need zlib for png support, so: zlib zlib-devel Once all of those are installed, the following should work for you: ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/bin/apxs --with-gd --with-zlib Good luck. -- Matt M.
