I'm trying to build php-4.3.6 on RH9. I've done this with both 4.3.4 and 4.3.4, against apache2 with --with-apxs2filter and --with-apxs2, and with apache 1.3.31 with --with-apxs Each time I get the following error during make: /usr/local/php-4.3.6/ext/standard/var_unserializer.c: In function `php_var_unserialize': /usr/local/php-4.3.6/ext/standard/var_unserializer.c:310: warning: comparison is always false due to limited range of data type ext/mysql/libmysql/my_tempnam.lo(.text+0x4c): In function `my_tempnam': /usr/local/php-4.3.6/ext/mysql/libmysql/my_tempnam.c:115: the use of tempnam' is dangerous, better use mkstemp' Build complete. (It is safe to ignore warnings about tempnam and tmpnam). ... the configure line: ./configure --with-apxs2filter=/usr/local/apache2/bin --with-mysql The problem I'm having is that post arrays seem mangled when they come back into the script... Here's the code I'm testing: <?php #print_r ($_POST); if (isSet($_POST["submit"])) echo "[submit ok] <br>\n"; if (isSet($_POST["a"])) print_r ($_POST["a"]); else print "a not present<br>\n"; ?> <html> <head> <title> test </title> </head> <body> <form action="" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name = "a[]" value = "love"> <input type="hidden" name = "a[]" value = "confidence"> <input type="hidden" name = "a[]" value = "strength"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit"> </form> </body> </html> ... and the output ... [submit ok] Array ( [0] => love [1] => confidence [2] => strength [3] => confidence [4] => strength ) ... This works fine on another machine. Is there known issues having to do with variable serialization and Apache2? What does this warning in the make process mean? HELP!!!!!!! -- Rich, rjc@mit.edu
