Apache crashes

I'm building PHP with informix and mysql for AIX.
informix csdk version: 2.50.UC2
mysql version: 3.23.27-beta
AIX version: 4
CC -v : C for AIX Compiler, Version 5
install commands:
export CC='cc -Dinline= -ma'
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/etc/apache/bin/apxs
--with-mysql=/usr/local --with-informix=/opt/informix
#stop apache
make
make install
#start apache, and it crashes!
I don't have the ifx.ec file, I got some errors, so I got rid of it.
Everything works now without any warnings or errors, any ideas why
apache crashes? I am pretty sure it's with informix, b/c it works ok
without it.
