php 4.04 + apache1.3.14 + Irix 6.5.10 + Zend

Last week I wrote that I had a problem with php and apache. I finally traced it to: I cannot get the zend stuff to work. In both the module form, and cgi I get errors missing functions in the zend api. I can see in the loadable module the error: /tools/apache/bin/httpd: rld: Fatal Error: attempted access to unresolvable symbol in /tools/apache/libexec/libphp4.so: _array_init where _array_init is from: Zend/zend_API.c In the cgi form I get all sorts of errors of not being able to find functions from zend_API.c. So I would like to try not to build this in. However, when I run configure with either: --without-ZEND or --without-zend it still builds it in. Does anyone know how to either build zend on the SGI or have PHP build without it? Thanks.
