Segmentation fault on make install with PEAR

Installing php 5.0.2 on RH9... Configure and make worked fine, but install segfaulted at the end with PEAR installation. It seems to be working fine and nothing unusual, but why is it faulting? I had the same result with 5.0.1, but not 4.x. 5.0.x seems to be seg faulting when it gets to the PEAR part... Any ideas why or how I can fix it?
