Hi,
I got a problem in installing php4.0.0 in my Linux (redhat6.2). I
followed the
steps in the INSTALL file, and the installing (using DSO) seemed to be
fine and there is
no error detected. However, I had a problem to link php4 to the Apache
1.3.12
server in my machine. Basically, the installing process didn't update
the httpd.conf
file. It didn't add anything to it, not even the "AddType
application/x-hhtpd-php .php".
I tried to modify the httpd.conf file myself, but with following
problem:
1. I couldn't find the libphp4.so file in my whole machine, so I can't
add the
line of "LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so" in httpd.conf.
Therefore,
when starting the server, it couldn't find the "so" file.
2. Because of this, the "AddModule mod_php4.c" won't function because
the
module is not loaded.
3. I guess because the module is not loaded, when I manually add
"AddType application/x-hhtpd-php .php" in httpd.conf, the server still
can't
recognize the php files.
Thanks a million for your help
