PHP & JAVA Install

Hello, I am trying to install PHP with the Java extension. I am running RH 7.0 and have compiled a local user copy of Apache 1.3.14 with PHP4.0.4pl1. I am using Sun's JDK 1.3. I have been through a number of errors that I have solved from this mailing list and the README in ext/java. However, I have gotten to one I cannot find answer for. I am trying to test the jver.php page that came in the distribution and am getting this error message: Fatal error: Unable to locate CreateJavaVM function in /home/devman/apache/live2/htdocs/jver.php on line 4 I did notice a posting located here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=php-install&m=97490428113515&w=2 That mentioned the same error message, but I did not understand the solution mentioned for Linux (the message was re: Solaris install), so elaboration on this posting might help as well, Thanks! -stanton schell -- Stanton Schell livsform design group stanton@livsform.com 703-538-3491 703-989-6591
