Hi, I'm having trouble getting PHP4 with Oracle8i support to work with Apache 1.3.17. When you try to start apache, only one copy of httpd is spawned (owned by root), the process takes up about 85% of the cpu, it runs for about 5 secounds, and then dies without reporting any errors. If I start apache without libphp4.so this does not happen, and if I use a libphp4.so without oci8 support this does not happen, so I am assuming it is a problem with the oracle database code. Does anyone have any pointers as to what I should do? Note that this computer is being used as a webserver only. Oracle is not running on this machine, rather I copied all of the oracle files (including the ones in /etc and /usr/local/bin) from a working oracle system and gave them proper ownership and permissions. -Lee
