PHP4.0.3 under OSX - no go still

I used the following:
autoconf configure.in > c
sh c
--with-fbsql
--without-mysql
--disable-pear
--with-apxs=/usr/local/sbin/apxs
--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/etc
make
make install
Not only didn't it work, but the above at least didn't cause apache to spit
under 4.0.2. Now under 4.0.3 I am getting the following:
dyld: /usr/local/sbin/apache Undefined symbols:
_DL_UNLOAD
grrrrr!
