BTW If anyone gets this working can they post an idiots guide on how to do it, as I'm an idiot that needs to do it!!Is the old syntax invalid?? --with-gd --with-gd-dir=/where/you/put/it I don't have time to try it myself.. but the syntax above worked for me until 4.0.4pl1 (which is the first version in which I include GD).
