Make install fails 4.0.6

One thing I note - it appears to be trying to build /usr/src/php-4.0.6//sapi/servlet/... why the double slash? I don't have any trailing slashes on anything in the configure... java is 1.3.1, tomcat is 3.2.2. RH7.1.
