Hi. I've been trying the --with-sablot option, but I can't seem to get it to work... I'm working on FreeBSD-3.4-STABLE with php version 4.0.3pl1 used as an apache module. I previously tried using the independent php_sablot module, but it made apache crap out with this error: /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib//libsablot.so.44: Undefined symbol "__builtin_vec_new". I asked Pavel Hlavnicka about this (a Sablotron guy - pavel@gingerall.cz) and he said it looked like a problem with my C++ compiler/libraries version(s), so I'm gonna upgrade (gcc 2.7.2.3 is still the standard on FreeBSD) & see if that helps, but I couldn't even configure in Sablotron using the --with-sablot flag available in 4.0.3. Pavel thought the problem with the configure had to do with Sablotron not being able to find the php expat libs: >Sablotron is not linked with expat libs, it means, all programs linked >with sablotron have to be linked with expat. -lxmlparse and -lxmltok are >missing. >There are several general problems with expat, which sould be solved in >the near future. Clark Cooper released "expat for all", which shoukd be >used by all products (Sablotron, PHP, Apache, AxKit, XML::Parser...). >Sablotron will support this version of expat in next release. So, any suggestions? Do you have a configure script for Sablot to link it to php's expat? I tried, but could never get it to find the expat libs. How can I get PHP to use the "expat for all" that was just released? It seems kind of weird to try to link Sablot to php's version of expat, because to compile Sablot you need expat compiled, and to compile php with Sablot you need Sablot compiled, so I guess you'd have to compile php first without Sablot, compile Sablot linking to php's expat libs, then recompile php with Sablot - so would it make for sense for expat to be separated from php (ala libxml & zlib) so that it could be compiled separately? Or can I just compile Sablot with its own version of expat and have it find php's version of expat when it gets compiled into php? (This is what I hoped would happen, but it looks like it didn't work.)
