How did you install MySQL ?? If you used the RPM method, you should find all of the MySQL files 'dispersed' throughout "/usr", so that should be what you use in your config statement ("--with-mysql=/usr"). If you used the 'source' method of installation, you'd point to the directory where you 'configured' MySQL to reside (i.e. "/usr/local/mysql").
