php-4.0.3 build error with --with-oci8 or --with-oracle

Hello, I'm trying to build php 4.0.3 with Oracle support. I get an error that _delete and _insert are missing from libgen.so It's a Solaris 2.6 box with gcc 2.8.1 We had to kluge a bit to even get this far. libgen.so is not even installed on a Solaris 2.6 box. We copied it from one of our 2.7 boxes. If I run nm against it I can see the _delete and _insert functions. I've narrowed the problem down to the oracle dbms stuff.
