PHP 4.0.6: Compile Error

Hi! I'm looking for PHP 4.0.6 binaries for SunOS, HP-UX and etc. I have downloaded PHP 4.0.6 source and I have the following error when tried to compile the program: ~/php_4.0.6>>make Making all in Zend Making all in main ... ld: fatal: file stub.lo: unknown file type ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to .libs/libphp4.so *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `libphp4.la' Current working directory /home/thoo/php_4.0.6 *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all-recursive' Can you give some advise of what could be the problem?
