shebang appearing!

Hi!
I want php as a cgi, so that I can call it both from a shell command line
and from apache server. So I need to mention the shebang
(#!/usr/local/bin/php) at the top of my scripts. I've used php installer
proposed by php.net and it works fine except that when I call from apache,
the shebang appears!!! What do I write in httpd.conf to avoid that? Thanks
