PHP-4.0.6 compilation error

Hi all, I'm trying to build php.4.0.6 from source and the first I get an error while using the --with-gd switch so I took that out and it stopped complaining after I reconfigured. Then I did make and I get this error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgd collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tuxpow3r/php-4.0.6' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 My debug.log file is pasted below, please anyone have a look and hopefully you can help me.
